NYTimes rising on my s*%! list
Last week when the NYTimes reported on the BlogHer conference - as many many others have noted, they mentioned all the stereotypical “women” (read:caretaker) trappings with in the first few lines. AND it was ran in the Style section vs. the Business section or maybe even the front page.
Today, they’ve got another story classified as a “women’s” piece that has...

Book Review: All the Way Home
From my Goodreads account.
I want to give this a 3.8 out of 4, but there’s no fractions for them here stars. I think I would have given it something even higher if it didn’t bring out the weird impulse to do the same that he has, except w/ 1/8 the skill that Giffels has. I have this desire to be not just crafty, but skilled at all the things that my grandparents were skilled at...

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was about to turn 15 and working as a lifeguard at a Cub Scout Camp. There I said it, I was a boy scout. It was aweful, just really really aweful. Think Lord of the Flies aweful. Luckily, as a lifeguard I got to lounge around the pool surrounded by fence and watch the other “counselors” suffer.

It is officially 4 weeks from my rehersal and I’m a leeetle bit starting towards the on edge behavior. Both thinkpol and I have been having stress related dreams, my father said he’s loosing sleep over it (this is huge, I think I’ve only ever seen my dad stressed over one other thing and that was, not surprisingly, his job), my mother, well let’s just say we’re doing...

What We Ate, July 12
I’m stealing this idea from ailiealien.
Last night, thinkpol, spinstah and I had left over from our bbq. This included a dill, mustard and kalamata olive potato salad, random-kielbasa-type polish sausage (from the best Polish market in Boston Metro, Euromart) and veggies grilled on the ‘que. We added another zucchini, an onion and mushrooms to the grilled zuchs, onions and fennel (to...

The anger is rising →
Do you know the cartoon version of anger where red slowly fills the characters face up? Well, that’s how this makes me feel. Just as Bitch, Ph.D. states this sort of concern is an everyday occurence for many “women” aka “voters.” Isn’t it just common sense that you cover this sort of thing?
I guess that isn’t entirely true, b/c who knows a woman...
